Race finish time at a target pace

Multiply race distance by a constant target pace.

How this works

Total minutes = distance in kilometers × target pace in decimal minutes per kilometer. The result converts total minutes into minutes:seconds, rounded to the nearest second; minutes can exceed 59 because this is not an hours:minutes display.

Example

The illustration may use different inputs from the reproducible default inputs listed below.

The defaults give 21.0975 km × 6 minutes/km = 126.585 minutes, displayed as 126:35 after rounding seconds. With all reset-default inputs, total minutes:seconds: 126:35.

Race distance (km)
21.0975
Target pace (minutes per km)
6
Total minutes:seconds
126:35

Scope and assumptions

Assumes the same pace over the entire distance. It does not predict capability or account for fatigue, elevation, weather or breaks. Enter a decimal pace, so 6 minutes 30 seconds is 6.5, not 6.30.
